Leap Frog Solutions donates Heart of Illinois Harvest web site.

May 12, 2004

Leap Frog Solutions Inc donated their experience and time in creating the Heart of Illinois Harvest (HOIH) web site.

Using the computer lab provided by the Salvation Army, Bruce Padmore, CEO of Leap Frog Solutions taught fellow Board members of HOIH the first in a series of classes on how to use the community tools of their new web site www.HOIHarvest.org.

"I have been using the web as a tool for social change since dawn of the internet in the early nineties. The tools used for the HOIH web site, I used to great effect for Amnesty International, Green Peace, and Boston artist collectives over ten years ago in 1993.

Today, the question facing community groups in reaching people and achieving change is not how to do it, but what to do. The right paths to take are hidden by a multitude of choices provided by technology. The real challenge is finding the ones relevant to the organization's goals.

Finding technology's relevance to people's lives is something that drives me in all that I do. To see the impact that can be derived from so little effort on my part is addicting," said Bruce Padmore, CEO of Leap Frog Solutions.

HOIH volunteers collect unserved or surplus food from donors throughout the tri-county area. The food is delivered to shelters, food pantries, missions, and other agencies to alleviate hunger within a 50-mile radius of Peoria.

Today, HOIH is desperate need of donors and volunteers to help them in their fight against hunger. To find out how you can help, contact:
